Workwear by Tauko
Tauko is a growing fashion brand with a unique recycling process, totally transparent and located in Helsinki with production plants in Finland, Poland, Estonia and Germany.
I was consulting with them for about a year to shape up Tauko as a brand and reach their ambition of growing in other european markets. I was wondering what else could they do using their unique recycling process, one of the owner said that they were actually thinking about creating a professional line.

We started a wide benchmark, studying every step of the process of their competitors, price range, services, ordering practices, delays, etc… We realised that the usual MO was based on two factors, quantity and price but sustainability, traceability and attitude were still very shy.
We decided to target restaurant and coffee-shop owners promoting a sustainable approach (organic, locally produced, vegan/vegetarian, zero-waste, etc...).
From our researches, we understood that we had to propose an extra level level of service, tailor-made, for the entrepreneurs who put their soul in every details.
We decided to target restaurant and coffee-shop owners promoting a sustainable approach (organic, locally produced, vegan/vegetarian, zero-waste, etc...).
From our researches, we understood that we had to propose an extra level level of service, tailor-made, for the entrepreneurs who put their soul in every details.
We created two levels of service through two different lines.
The Take-away line, quick to order with extra fast delivery and the Bespoke line, fully customisable and made to order.
Having had a sustainable café in Helsinki I knew some restaurant owners matching the profile and we teamed-up with them to create the ideal workwear pieces.
We decided not to take the obvious route of “green” design and leave it to Starbucks. We simply wanted to create a good mood brand, the kind you’d be happy to engage with and so decided to focus on the customer’s experience.
